WESTPORT’S ACADEMY OF DANCE PRESENTS OUR AUTUMN 2025 GUEST CHOREOGRAPHER SHOWING
ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
An afternoon of dance artistry as our talented Junior II, Junior Company, and Senior Company students take the stage to perform three original works choreographed by the extraordinary Amelia Lowe. This performance marks the culmination of a 9-week Master Class at The Academy and promises to be a celebration of movement, grace, and creativity.
Amelia Lowe, best known as a Top 12 finalist on So You Think You Can Dance Season 9, is a New York–based performer and teacher whose credits include Boardwalk Empire, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, national commercials for major brands, and live performances for acclaimed choreographers across the nation.
Amelia choreographed Contemporary pieces for our dancers. Her choreography focuses mainly on storytelling, musicality, and technique. The goal of her work is to utilize the dancers' unique movement qualities, allowing their strengths to shine. Each piece of choreography is uniquely fitted to the dancers performing it. She hopes to blend artistry with physicality to create something truly one-of-a-kind.
Thank you for sharing in our students' dedication and hard work alongside the artistry of our cherished guest choreographer. Enjoy the Show!
